Litigation Paralegal - Property Management
Responsibilities:
- Review and countersign leases, lease renewals, modification agreements, storage agreements and amenity agreements.
- Review Aged Receivables report for the entire portfolio and prepare the 235 Notices for all tenants that owe rent and mail the Notices on or before the 15th of each month by certified mail. Prepare collections packet and send to counsel for any tenants that vacated with arrears.
- Review and revise all incident reports and submit to insurance when necessary.
- Assist attorneys with all landlord/tenant and commercial litigations across portfolio
- Maintain all insurance litigation files.
- Maintain all commercial tenant files, including making sure that all COIs are up to date, Letter of Credits and/ or cash security deposits are received and update abstracts as necessary.
- Respond to all Subpoenas received portfolio wide.
- Review all Condominium Sublease Applications and Resale packages, including collecting the necessary fees, completing the HOA questionnaires, etc. before submitting it to the board for review/ approval.
- Renew all brokerage Real Estate Licenses.
- File claims with The Guarantors and Insurant as necessary when tenants vacate with arrears.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational/technical training
- Minimum 2 years of similar law firm or legal department experience
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow through and strong organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within an organization particularly at senior levels
- Flexible team player who can manage multiple tasks and inquiries from numerous internal and external department
- Ability to maintain strictest levels of confidentiality and discretion.
- Must possess excellent computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 Annual Salary
